Record in the Bird Pal app
The chat one can't hear me. Open the real Bird Pal!
Open Bird Pal
Hello! My name is Nori
Let's help your bird learn to talk!
Put Bird Pal on your home screen
For grown-ups
- Birds learn words best from people. The app helps with practice; it doesn't replace time together.
- Not every bird learns to talk, and that's okay. The streak counts days your child taught, not words learned.
- Recordings and progress stay only on this device. Nothing is uploaded. A new phone starts fresh.
- On iPhone, always open Bird Pal from its home-screen icon. Safari keeps a separate copy, so recordings made there won't show up in the app.
- "Squeaky" and "My voice, squeaky" make a high cartoon-style voice for birds that love those sounds. The squeaky version of your recording plays it about 40% faster, which raises the pitch.
- The bird-friendly voice is high, happy and slow because many trainers report parrots pay more attention to high, enthusiastic voices. Your own voice is still the best teacher.
- Lessons pause if the screen locks, unless "Keep playing with the screen off" is on. Keep the app open and the phone plugged in.
- Language: tap EN, 中文 or ES at the top. Your words and recordings stay the same; only the app's text and its voice change.
Nori learns best from you! Talk to Nori every day, then let the app help while you are busy.

This iPad is blocking sounds
Lockdown Mode is on, so the app can't speak or record here. A grown-up can allow this one website:
- Open phoebiewang.com/birdpal in Safari.
- Tap the page menu button next to the address.
- Tap Website Settings, then turn off Lockdown Mode.
- Close Bird Pal completely and open it again.

Morning lesson
Which words?
How long?
A listening helper, not a replacement for time together. The app says each word 3 times, then stays quiet for 1 minute so Nori can rest and try. Then it starts again.
Before you start
- Plug in the phone or tablet.
- Start with the volume low, and keep the phone about 2 feet (half a meter) from the cage.
- Stop the lesson if Nori looks scared or moves away.
- Keep this app open with the screen on, or turn on "Keep playing with the screen off".
- Put it near the cage, not inside it.
